My approach to landscape painting is informed by Corot and the French Impressionists, the Canadian Group of Seven and John Singer Sargent. The paintings are painted on location and in the studio.
In many of my still lifes I try reveal something of an object's story in the marks of its use. In other still lifes, I am simply celebrating colour and light.
